Tom Hanks narrates the epic story of the 9/11 boatlift that evacuated half a million people from the stricken piers and seawalls of Lower Manhattan.
We watched the video with tears to our eyes. God bless you and all the brave people that helped over 500,000 people get off the island on 9/11 by boat. Included on the video are our friends from Gellatly & Criscione Services Corp. who rushed their tubboats to the scene to help. Mario Criscione, a parter of Gellatly & Criscione Services Corp. said, “We were honored and humbled by the effects of our crew and all the other mariners who also helped in getting 500,000 off Manhattan Island to safer New Jersey and Staten Island shores“.
